BURA MUNICIPALITY BOARD MEMBERS SWORN INTO OFFICE.

The Governor of Garissa H.E Nathif Jama yesterday afternoon presided over the swearing-in of Bura Municipality Board Members at the County Headquarters.

Those sworn in by Garissa Chief Magistrate Hon. Stephen Mbungi were:
1. Hon. Mohamed Gabow Kharbat - Chairman
2. Mr. Ibrahim Ismail Khalif - Member
3. Mr. Mahat Moulid Bashir - Member
4. Mr. Elias Ahmed Lebi - Member
5. Mr. Abdirauf Osman Abdi - Member
6. Mrs. Halima Ali Gure - Member
7. Mrs. Nasra Farah Gure - V/chair

In his address during the event, Governor Jama congratulated the new Municipality Board members for making it to the capacities of serving the people of Bura.

He asked the members to work hand in hand with the County leadership, as well as the Municipal CEO in making sure Bura town achieved a dignified face.

The swearing in was witnessed by County Secretary Mohamud Hassan, Bura Municipality CEO Isaack Abdi Korio and other senior county officials.

Bura Municipality was inaugurated by H.E Gov. Nathif Jama, During the 20th October 2023, Mashujaa day celebration held in Bura town, Fafi Sub County.

It is the Fourth Municipality in the County after Garissa Township, Masalani and Dadaab Municipalities and it is the third to be inaugurated in Governor Nathif's tenure.
