Don’t let the narcissist false accusations shake your confidence. Stick to your truth and let your actions speak for themselves. Show everyone through your work and deeds that you’re honest and dependable
They want to make you feel guilty and control your behaviour so that you’ll do what they want. But here’s the thing ..you shouldn’t let their false narratives get to you .. Continue to show gratitude regardless of what they say .
So always expect the following from a narcissistic when they understand that you have figured them out .
1. Hitting you with tons of gaslighting
The first thing you can expect the narcissist to do is hit you with tons and tons of gaslighting. If they believe you’re onto them, they’re going to do whatever they can to change and manipulate your new beliefs, and they do that with gaslighting. They will try and convince you that you’re wrong about them, that you didn’t see what you saw, that you didn’t hear what you heard, that your interpretation is wrong, that your mind is operating incorrectly, and that your mental health is slipping, but they are the same wonderful, perfect person they’ve always been, and you are the problem. It’s not them; it’s you. They want to get you confused; they want to get you to the point of second-guessing your conclusions; they want you to doubt yourself by whatever means necessary so everything goes back to the status quo.
