How to write effective meeting minutes.

MINUTES
Minutes are the official record of the proceedings of a meeting. All organizations, whether commercial or social, attach great importance to the recording of minutes held at their various meetings.

Minutes act as a formal document that may be created as documentation if all the appropriate persons who attended the meeting accept them and sign them. All pages of the minutes must be signed, not only the front page. In the case of joint-stock corporations, the sessions of each general meeting and the meetings of the Board and its committees are mandatory for them.

Minutes are the official record of the work done and decisions taken at the meeting of members; hence they must be precise and clear.

Minutes do not have a minute-by-minute description of what has happened at the conference. Generally, minutes reveal what has been officially discussed or determined, and just what has been stated. If any participant refuses to do a job at a later date, as he had decided in the conference, the minutes will serve as proof of his agreement.
