Development Goals and Systems Thinking
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a new, universal set of goals, targets, and indicators that United Nations (UN) member states will be expected to use to frame their agendas and political policies over the next 15 years. (Leiyu Shi; James A. Johnson, 2021)
The SDGs went into effect in January 2016 and will continue to direct policy and funding for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) through 2030.
Being the leading UN development organization, UNDP is in a unique position to contribute to the achievement of the objectives through work on some cross-programs in 170 countries and territories.
Health-Related Goals:
The eight health-related goals of the 17 SDGs entities are as follows:
●Goal 1: No poverty
●Goal 2: Zero hunger
●Goal 3: Good health and well-being
●Goal 4: Quality education work on
●Goal 5: Gender equality
●Goal 6: Clean water and sanitation
