It’s extremely doubtful that we can overstate the narcissist’s longing for another world. Narcissists have spent decades attempting to craft a copy of themselves grounded not as much in reality itself but in semblances and presentation. They’re famous for having learned long-standing secrets for hiding their real self, creating an image of a fake self, and thus inflaming their shadow self. Hope that logic works for you there. Narcissists have figured that if they’re going to be honest, transparent, and genuine about being who they are, well, that’s just not going to fly in their world. It is a critical world out there, and they have not dealt with what they’re going to do with criticism. So what they do is lie and lie a lot. Externally, they will lie to you, in secrecy, defensiveness, and inventing every form of lie that is not consonant with the truth of circumstances. But they will start by lying to themselves first.

Today, I’m going to tackle Ten of the most prevailing lies narcissists maintain. These lies essentially serve as indicators of who they are. It’s somewhat sad, it’s sad that you have to live your life in disappointment, but that is part of the narcissistic process. So let’s begin.
