Narcissists are known for being self-obsessed, but at their core, they are just like us. They have regrets, feel shame, and experience guilt and embarrassment. Watch until the end as I reveal 10 Things That a Narcissist Regrets in Their Life.
Number 1: Losing Control of Their Victims
Narcissists crave control and cannot tolerate losing it. They want to manipulate people to get what they desire, acting as puppet masters, keeping others on a string for as long as possible. When someone manages to break free from their influence, narcissists regret it deeply. They obsess over the mistakes that allowed someone to undermine their control. This can leave them frustrated or angry, often leading them to seek revenge to reassert dominance and feel better about themselves.
Number 2: Discarding Their Supply
Narcissists frequently regret discarding their “supply”—the people they depend on for validation and admiration. They often struggle to maintain long-term relationships because they get bored easily. However, when they realize how lonely they are without someone who genuinely cared for them, regret can creep in. They may especially feel guilty if their former supply was integral to their life. Despite this, narcissists tend to repeat the cycle, discarding people and seeking new sources of admiration.
